Surah Ahzab (33), Verse  72

Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhu ka bayan hai ki amanat se murad yaha ita'at hai, isko hazrat Adam Alaihi Salam par pesh karne se pahle zameen aur aasman aur pahado par pesh kiya gaya lekin wo nahi utha sake aur apni majburi ka izhar kar diya. Phir Allah Subhanahu ne isko Hazrat Adam Alaihi Salam par pesh kiya ki ye sab to inkar kar rahe hain tum kaho, Adam Alaihi Salam ne kaha ki ismein baat kya hai ? Allah subhanahu ne farmaya ki agar itaat karoge to sawab paoge

aur nafarmani karoge to saza paoge , to Adam Alaihi salam ne kaha ki main tayyar hu

Al Quran : Truly, We did offer Al-Amanah (obedience) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it (i.e. afraid of Allah's Torment). But man bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results).

Surah Ahzab (33), Verse  72

Explanation : Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhu said, "Al-Amanah means obedience. This was offered to them before it was offered to Adam Alaihi Salam, and they could not bear it. Then Allah said to Adam: I have offered the obedience to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they could not bear it. Will you take it on' He said, O Lord, what does it involve' He said, If you be obedient (will do good) , you will be rewarded, and if you do evil, you will be punished. So Adam took the Amanah (obedience) and bore it, and this is what is referred to in the Ayah
