Al Quran : Aur Aad aur thamud aur Ashab Ar-Rass (kuwe walon) aur unke darmiyan aur bahut se jamaton ko bhi halaq kar dala  

Tafseer : Ibn Jurayj  ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Ahuma se rivayat karte hain ki Ashab Ar-Rass Qaum-e-Samud ki ek basti thi, Ikrima radi allahu anhu farmate hain ki inki taraf jo Nabee aaye they unko  un logo ne  ek kuwe mein daal diya tha isliye inko Ashab Ar-Rass kaha jata hai
Tafseer Ibn Kathir , Surah Furqan (25) Aayat 32

Al Quran : And (also) Ad and Thamud, and the Dwellers of Ar-Rass, and many generations in between. (We have destroyed)
Al-Furqaan, Chapter #25, Verse #38

Tafseer : As for the Dwellers of Ar-Rass, Ibn Jurayj narrated from Ibn `Abbas about the Dwellers of Ar-Rass that they were the people of one of the villages of Thamud. narrated from Ikrimah Radi allahu anhu that Ar-Rass was a well where they threw (buried)  their Prophet.
