Al Quran - (Baaz log) , Atkal pachchu (guess karne wale) kahenge ki wo ( Ashab Al kahaf) teen they (aur) chotha unka kutta tha aur (baaz) kahenge ki wo paanch they aur chatha unka kutta tha aur (baaz) kahenge ki wo saat they aur aanthwa unka kutta tha, kah do ki - *رَّبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِعِدَّتِهِم مَّا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ* - unki taadad to mera RABB hi behtar janta hai aur unko jante bhi hain to thode log, to tum unke muamale mein guftgu mat karna magar thodi see guftgu,  aur unke baare mein unmein se (Yahud o nasara se) kisi se kuch daryaft mat karna 
Surah Al-kahaf (18), Aayat 22

(بعض لوگ) اٹکل پچو- کہیں گے کہ وہ (اصحاب الکھف) تین تھے (اور) چوتھا ان کا کتّا تھا۔ اور (بعض) کہیں گے کہ وہ پانچ تھے اور چھٹا ان کا کتّا تھا۔ اور (بعض) کہیں گے کہ وہ سات تھے اور آٹھواں ان کا کتّا تھا ۔ کہہ دو کی ان کی  تعداد  تو میرا رب ہی  بہتر جانتا ہے , ان کو جانتے بھی ہیں تو تھوڑے ہی لوگ (جانتے ہیں) تو تم ان (کے معاملے) میں گفتگو نہ کرنا مگر سرسری سی گفتگو۔ اور نہ ان کے بارے میں ان میں کسی سے کچھ دریافت ہی کرنا

Al Quran : (Some) say they (Ashab Al kahaf -The people of Cave) were three, the dog being the fourth among them; and (others) say they were five, the dog being the sixth, - guessing at the unseen; (yet others) say they were seven, and the dog being the eighth. Say (O Muhammad SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam): 
- *رَّبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِعِدَّتِهِم مَّا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ* - My Lord knows best their number; none knows them but a few." So debate not (about their number) except with the clear proof (which We have revealed to you). And consult not any of them (people of the Scripture - Jews and Christians) about (the affair of) the people of the Cave.
