✦ Al Quran : They ask you concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: In them is a great sin, and (some) benefit for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit.
Al Quran, Al-Baqara (2), Verse 219
✦ Al Quran : And give unto orphans their property and do not exchange (your) bad things for (their) good ones; and devour (eat) not their substance (by adding it) to your substance. Surely, this is a greater sin.
Surah An-Nisa (4), Aayat 2
RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam said The greatest sin amongst all sins in the eyes of Allah, is of
1. A person, who marries a woman and divorces her after fulfilling his desires and also take her Mahr(dawry).
2. Secondly, is a person, who after having employed somebody take illegaly his pay.
3. Thirdly, is a person who kills animals for no valid reason."
