Abdullah ibn umar radi allahu ne bataya ki Rasool-Allah ﷺ ki zindagi mein jab koi khwab dekhta to wo Aap ﷺ se bayan karta ,mere bhi dil mein khwahish paida huyee ki main koi khwab dekhu aur Aap ﷺ se bayan karu , main abhi naujawan tha aur Aap ﷺ ke zamane mein masjid mein sota tha , maine khwab mein dekha ki do farishte mujhe pakad kar dozakh (ki aag) ki taraf le gaye maine dekha ki dozakh par kuwe ki tarah bandish (yani munder or boundary) bani huyee hai aur uske do janib they, maine dozakh mein bahut se aise logo ko dekha jinko main pahchanta tha, main kahne laga ki dozakh se Allah ki panah , phir mujhe ek farishta mila aur kaha ki daro nahi.

Ye khwab maine (apni bahan) Hazrat Hafsha radi Allahu anha ko sunaya aur unhone Rasool-Allah ﷺ ko bataya to Aap ﷺ ne tabir mein farmaya ki Abdullah (bin umar) bahut achcha ladka hai , kaash wo raat mein namaz (tahajjud) padha karta , iske baad Abdullah bin umar raat mein bahut kam soya karte they (yani uth kar  tahajjud padha karte they)

Narrated Salim's father ( Abdullah bin Umar) Radi Allahu anhu  In the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) whosoever saw a dream would narrate it to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). I had a wish of seeing a dream to narrate it to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)  I was a grown up boy and used to sleep in the Mosque in the lifetime of the Prophet. I saw in the dream that two angels caught hold of me and took me to the (hell) Fire which was built all round like a built well and had two poles in it and the

people in it were known to me. I started saying, "I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire." Then I met another angel who told me not to be afraid.

I narrated the dream to (My sister) Hafsa Radi allahu anha who told it to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). The Prophet ﷺ said ( in the explanation) , "Abdullah is a good man. I wish he prayed Tahajjud." After that Abdullah (Salim's father) used to sleep but a little at night. (used to pray tahajjud)
