✦ RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wasallam ne farmaya Har tasbeeh (SubhanAllah kahna) sadqa hai aur har takbir (Allahu Akbar kahna) sadqa hai aur har tahmeed (Alhamdulillah kahna) sadqa hai aur har tahleel (La ilaha illallah kahna) sadqa hai 
aur har achchi baat sikhana sadqa hai aur har buri baat se rokna sadqa hai 
Sahih Muslim, Jild 3, 2329 

✦ RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wasallam ne farmaya jo tum tum khud khate ho wo sadqa mein shumar hota hai, jo tum apni aulad ko khilate ho wo bhi tumhare liye sadqa hai, jo tum apni biwi ko khilate ho wo bhi sadqa hai aur jo tum apne gulam ko khilate ho wo bhi tumhare liye sadqa hai

✦ Yaala bin umayya Radi Allahu Anhu ne kaha ki maine hazrat umar radi Allahu anhu se pucha ki Allah Subhanahu ne farmaya hai ki "agar tumhe khauff ho ki kafir tumhe satayenge aur tum namaz qasar kar do (yani kam rakat padho) to isme koi harj nahi -Surah Nisa (4), 101" magar ab to log aman mein ho gaye hain (yani ab qasar padhne ki kya jarurat hai) to Umar radi Allahu anhu ne kaha ki mujhe bhi ye tajjub hua tha jaisa tumko tajjub hua to maine Rasool-Allah Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam se is baat ko pucha to Aapne farmaya ki ye Allah subhanahu ki taraf se tumhe sadqa diya gaya hai to uska sadqa qubul karo (yani bina khauff ke bhi safar mein Qasar namaz padha karo)

✦ RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wasallam said Every Takbir (saying Allah-u-Akbar) is a sadaqa, and every praise of His (saying Al-Hamdu Lillah) is a Sadaqa and every declaration that He is One (La illha ill-Allah) is a sadaqa, and enjoining of good is a sadaqa, 
and forbidding of that which is evil is a Sadaqa
Sahih Muslim, Book 5, 2198

✦ Yaala bin Umayya said I told Umar bin Khattab Radi Allahu that Allah had said You may shorten the prayer only if you fear that those who are unbelievers may afflict you (Al Quran 4:101), whereas the people are now safe. He replied: I wondered about it in the same way as you wonder about it, so I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about it and he ﷺ said: It is an act of charity which Allah has done to you, so accept His charity. (so shorten the prayers when travelling)
