Abdullah bin salam Radi Allahu Anhu se rivayat hai ki jab Rasool-Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam madina tashrif laaye to log Rasool-Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam kay istaqbal ke liye daudhte huye aaye aur kahne lage ki Rasool-Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam tashreef la chuke hain (aisa teen baar kaha). main bhi dekhne ke liye aaya Maine jab Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ka chehra mubarak wazeh dekha to maine kaha ye kisi jhoote shakhs ka chehra nahi ho sakta. pahli baat jo mai ne Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se suni wo ye thi ki Eh logo Salam ko aam karo, Khana khilao, Rishtedariyan milao (yani ristedaro ke saath achcha suluq karo), Raato ko namaz padho jab log so rahe hon, (ye sare amal karne se) tum jannat mai salamati ke sath dakhil ho jaoge.

Abdullah bin Salam Radi Allahu Anhu said “When the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed to meet him, and it was said: Rasool-Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has come (Three times it was said) , I came with the people to see him, and when I saw his face clearly, I came to know that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing I heard him say was when He Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: O people! Spread (the greeting of) Salam, feed others, keep good relation with relatives, and pray during the night when people are sleeping, (If you do so) you will enter Paradise with Salam.
