Hadith : Suraj aur chand mein Grahan (eclipse) dekho to 
Namaz  Parha karo aur Dua kartey raho

Abu Bakra Radi Allahu Anhu se rivayat hai ki Rasoollallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam  ne farmaya Suraj aur chand  dono Allah Subhanahu ki nishaniya hai aur  Kisi ki  wajah se inmein Grahan (eclipse) nahi lagta bulki Allah subhanahu uskey zariye apney bando ko darata hai

Abu Bakra Radi Allahu Anhu se rivayat hai ki hum Rasoollallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam  ki khidmat mein hazir they ki Suraj ko graham lagna shuru ho gaya Nabee Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam maszid mein gaye saath mein mein hum bhi gaye Aapney humein Do rakaat namaz parhayee yahan tak ki suraj saaf ho gaya phir Rasoollallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam   ne farmaya Suraj aur chand mein Kisi ki maut ki wajah se grahan (eclipse) nahi lagta jab tum grahan  dekho to Namaz parho aur  Dua kartey raho jab tak Grahan chala na jaye

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا سورج اور چاند دونوں اللہ تعالیٰ کی نشانیاں ہیں اور کسی کی موت و حیات سے ان میں گرہن نہیں لگتا بلکہ اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے ذریعہ اپنے بندوں کو ڈراتا ہے۔

ابو بکرہ  رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ ہم نبی کریم  صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر تھے کہ سورج کوگرہن لگنا شروع ہوا ۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( اٹھ کر جلدی میں ) چادر گھسیٹتے ہوئے مسجد میں گئے ۔ ساتھ ہی ہم بھی گئے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں دو رکعت نماز پڑھائی تاآنکہ سورج صاف ہو گیا ۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ سورج اور چاند میں گرہن کسی کی موت و ہلاکت سے نہیں لگتا لیکن جب تم گرہن دیکھو تو اس وقت نماز اور دعا کرتے رہو جب تک گرہن کھل نہ جائے ۔

Narrated Abu Bakra Radi Allahu Anhu Allah's Apostle Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: "The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah and they do not eclipse because of the death of someone but  Allah frightens His devotees with them."
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 18, Number 158:

Narrated Abu Bakra Radi Allahu Anhu : We were with Allah's Apostle Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam when the sun Eclipsed. Allah's Apostle stood up dragging his cloak till he entered the Mosque. He led us in a two-Rakat Prayer till the sun (Eclipse) had cleared. Then the Prophet Peace be upon him  said, "The sun and the moon do not Eclipse because of someone's death. So whenever you see these Eclipses pray and invoke (Allah) till the Eclipse is over."

Eclipse Prayer :
Narrated Asma' bint Abi Bakr Radi Allahu Anhu : The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam once offered the Eclipse Prayer. He stood for a long time and then did a prolonged bowing. He stood up straight again and kept on standing for a long time, then bowed a long bowing and then stood up straight and then prostrated a prolonged prostration and then lifted his head and prostrated a prolonged prostration. And then he stood up for a long time and then did a prolonged bowing and then stood up straight again and kept on standing for a long time. Then he bowed a long bowing and then stood up straight and then prostrated a prolonged prostration and then lifted his head and went for a prolonged prostration. On completion o the Prayer, he said, "Paradise became s near to me that if I had dared, I would have plucked one of its bunches for you and Hell became so near to me that said, 'O my Lord will I be among those people?' Then suddenly I saw a woman and a cat was lacerating her with it claws. On inquiring, it was said that the woman had imprisoned the cat till it died of starvation and she neither fed it no freed it so that it could feed itself."
